Electric blue, aquamarine green, powder pink: these are the cornerstones around which the three moods presented by Baxter in its Gallery at the Salone del Mobile 2023 develop.
The exhibition space, defined by walls that seem to pay homage to the Brutalist style, intersects indoor and ‘open-air’ areas. Walking around, we find ourselves immersed in an everyday life to be reconstructed: large openings in the walls allow us to continue to admire the installations from different viewpoints.
A taste of the 1970s lies behind the inspiration that permeates the 2023 collection, evident in the vivid colour choices and bold contrasts between materials. All-new finishes, such as black iroko for outdoors or Electric Nubuck and Aquamarine Nubuck leather for indoors, adorn the bestsellers: we can therefore rediscover the new looks of the Himba series and the Milano and Chestermoon sofas respectively. They are flanked by new additions from established collaborations, such as the Joni desk by Christophe Delcourt, the Clotilde chairs by Roberto Lazzeroni, and the So Good and Miss Rope armchairs by Studiopepe.
Every step of the promenade within the Baxter Gallery offers the viewer a sophisticated idea of contemporary elegance.
